[1] David Rees: Good afternoon. Can I welcome Members to this afternoon’s session of the External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee? We have not received any apologies this afternoon. We will be moving into private session shortly to discuss the draft report and other business. There is no scheduled fire alarm, so if one does occur, please follow the directions of the ushers. Mobile phones: please turn them off in case they interfere with any equipment, and the same with any other electronic equipment.

Teyrnged i’r Cyn Brif Weinidog Rhodri Morgan Tribute to the Former First Minister Rhodri Morgan
[2] Before we move into private session, I would like to put on record that, following the sad news last week of the death of Rhodri Morgan, the former First Minister, the committee would like to express its recognition of the work he undertook on behalf of the Welsh Assembly in building relationships with both the EU and the wider world. And, of course, not just as First Minister in the Assembly, but also he was Chair of our equivalent committee during the third Assembly, following his retirement as First Minister, and therefore he continued the intention to build those relationships up with Europe and the external world, and therefore should be recognised on all that. Members will have an opportunity tomorrow, in Plenary, to express further considerations on the work of Rhodri, at 12:30 when we commence work tomorrow.

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod, a'r cyfarfod ar 5 Mehefin, yn unol â Rheolau Sefydlog 17.42(vi).	that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting, and the meeting on 5 June, in accordance with Standing Orders 17.42(vi).

[3] David Rees: I’d like to move, under Standing Order 17.42, to resolve to meet in private for the remainder of this meeting, and for the meeting of the committee on 5 June. Are Members content? Therefore we move into private session.
